BoilerJuice is looking for an experienced marketing specialist to join our team at this key and exciting point in our journey. As PPC Lead, you will play a pivotal role by driving our customer growth through paid channels.

We keep our customers warm while saving them time and money and we provide a source of cost-effective, easy to process orders to the suppliers we work with. We have an established growth engine, acquiring customers by using the highest sustainable acquisition cost and building customer lifetime value through life-stage marketing and ‘upgrading’ customers to our subscription service. We are growing fast, have high NPS scores, strong customer retention and a loyal customer base that accounts for well over 50% of our customers. Last winter we launched our “Connected” proposition, a utility-style subscription service that makes living off grid as easy as being on a mains supply. This is taking us on a journey from transactional business to service provider, with happier, more valuable but also more demanding customers.
As a service provider our brand will evolve from saving our customer time and money on their heating oil, to offering affordable and environmentally friendly ways to keep warm whilst saving time and money on their energy bills. Alongside Connected we have introduced a unique “Green” product using UK-based certified tree-planting programs to offset emissions. We intend to build on this, testing and launching new propositions, such as maintenance packages and replacement/hybrid heating systems with affordable finance solutions that help customers reduce their carbon footprint.
About you….
Numbers and analytically focused, you are someone who is comfortable with the need for both strategic thinking and the need to get things done, you are looking to move into an accountable role in a high-growth business that will give you the opportunity to take full ownership of a key aspect of our strategic growth plan and day to day action. This role is ideal for a senior exec looking for a step up, or a hands-on agency account manager looking to move in-house.
You are proactive, act without being told what to do, able to bring new ideas and opportunities. You are clear on objectives, use your time and external resource wisely and in the right mix to get stuff done.
You have a great deal of expertise in all walks of PPC activity, including search, display, and social. You have the skills and experience to get things done. You are experienced in running A/B tests both from a creative standpoint (copy & landing pages), and technical one (bidding methodologies & settings). You can prioritise optimisation and project workflows to continue pushing forward the accounts and expanding areas of growth, whilst understanding the relationship between business performance and platform PPC metrics.

Location – this role will be based from home with the requirement to attend our office in St Ives, Cambridgeshire once a week (initial period may require more time in the office).
